ScoreAm, a subsidiary of MoStore Holdings LTD ("Company," "we," "our," "us"), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit the ScoreAm website, mobile application, or any of our related products and services (collectively, the "Services").

BY ACCESSING OR USING OUR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH OUR POLICIES AND PRACTICES, YOUR CHOICE IS NOT TO USE OUR SERVICES.

This Privacy Policy complies with the requirement of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) regarding the processing of personal data.

  • Identity and Contact Data: Name, email address, postal address, phone number, Bank Verification Number (BVN), National Identity Number (NIN), date of birth, and any other identifier by which you may be contacted online or offline.
  • Financial Data: Bank account and payment card details, income history, transaction history, credit history, and details about financial products you use. This data is rigorously analyzed to provide your credit score estimate and insights.
  • Technical & Automatic Data: As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions, and patterns, including IP addresses, operating systems, and browser types.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal information, strictly to:

  • Present our Services and its contents to you.
  • Analyze your financial behavior to estimate and present your ScoreAm credit profile.
  • Match you with relevant lending and financial products from our Partner Institutions.
  • Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it, including customer support.
  • Detect, prevent, and protect against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activities.
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We may disclose aggregated, anonymized information about our users without restriction. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose personal information that we collect or you provide as described in this privacy policy:

  • To Partner Institutions: When you actively choose to apply for a loan or financial product through our marketplace, we share the necessary profile and financial data with the specific Partner Institution to evaluate your eligibility. By engaging with a partner offer, you explicitly consent to this sharing.
  • To Service Providers: We share data with contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business (e.g., identity verification APIs, secure data aggregation services) who are strictly bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • For Legal Compliance & Protection: To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request. Furthermore, to protect the rights, property, or safety of ScoreAm, our customers, and others (including exchanging information for fraud protection).
  • Business Transfers: To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of MoStore Holdings LTD's assets.

5. Data Security & Storage

We have implemented exhaustive physical, technical, and administrative security measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. All transmission of highly sensitive data, such as financial details or BVN, is handled through secure, bank-level encryption (SSL/TLS).

However, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our absolute best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.

6. Your Data Rights (NDPR Compliance)

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: You can request that we correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
